Beneath the surface swim some of the lake’s most sought-after residents: Carp in excess of 40lb that at present are uncaught. These fish are true originals — rarely fooled, and never predictable.

The location is ideal, just a short flight away, which made travel easy and stress-free. Once I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Alison and Gav, who were genuinely friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home from the start.
The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, perfect for a relaxing stay. The real highlight for me was the fishing. The lakes are beautifully maintained and well-stocked, offering some of the most enjoyable and peaceful fishing I’ve experienced in a long time. Whether you’re up at sunrise with your rod or enjoying a quiet evening by the water, it’s an angler’s dream.
The surrounding area is just stunning very peaceful countryside, great local pubs, and plenty of space to unwind. I’ve been to quite a few spots over the years, but there’s something special about this place that keeps calling me back.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing fishing trip with great hospitality and beautiful scenery. I’ll definitely be returning!

Alison and Gav are such wonderful hosts – so warm and welcoming. They’ve created a lovely, relaxing place that feels like a home away from home.
We’re already looking forward to coming back – especially when the fishing lake is open in 2026! Can’t wait to do some fishing in such a peaceful setting.

The lakes and accommodation were beautiful and the owners were warm and welcoming. We are currently planning our next visit as it is the perfect place to relax and decompress with the added bonus of fishing and enjoying the wildlife. I cannot recommend this place enough
